About Turkey’s attempted coup one can say:
Such a coup was either a display or a real one. If it was real, it was either a civil and independent one or a one dependant on outside support.
If it was dependant on outside support, it was either a European or a non European one.
The “non-violence” nature, failure to arrest members of the government, lack of a leadership, early surrender, the ground forces not getting involved in the coup, limited to only Ankara and Istanbul, and many other signs observed in the Islamic oligarchy front: such as coordinated broadcasting of call to prayer, Azan, in mosques around Istanbul and Ankara as well as Erdogan’s previous directive regarding the impunity of army commanders from any prosecution, unless the prime minister orders. These are all signs that reinforce the suspicion that the Turkish attempted coup was merely a display.
Considering such a hypothesis, some rumors whirling around “Erdogan’s plane landing in northwest Iran”, “Iran sending fighter jets to Turkish border, supposedly to escort Erdogan’s plane. “dispatching brigade of special commandos to Tabriz” “Iran quickly declaring its position in condemning the coup” “thanking the public for taking into the streets to support him, favoring democracy and elections” all reinforce the idea that such a manifestation of display was carried out with the consultation and co-ordination of Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the past few years, “the religious oligarchy dominating Iran” has always reprimanded “Mohammad Morsi” (the elected but yet overthrown president of Egypt): “despite our repeated advice on dismantling Egypt’s army, Morsi did not heed to our advice and in a short time, found himself surrounded with the military’s coup. He should have learnt a lesson from our experience of Islamic Republic and weakened the Egyptian military to the extent that they would not be able to carry out any coup.
Considering the above assumption, “the attempted Turkish coup being real” is a much weaker possibility. But in my opinion, if it was a “real coup”, it must be a coup without outside support. The long list of countries and organizations declaring their support for the ruling islamist government in the first hours after the attempted coup( the US, Islamic Republic of Iran, United Nations, Hamas, Greece to Cyprus, European Union, Qatar, Pakistan, Free Syrian Army, Kurdistan Regional Government), all illustrate that the attempted coup was a civil independent move without any outside support.
Meanwhile, the most honest and sincere position was taken by Russia. The Russian statement clearly stated that: “We do not have any understanding of what is happening in Turkey and therefore we avoid coming on it immediately. We’ll wait so as time goes on, we could find out how Turkey’s incidents are related with the national interest of the Russian federation.
Lack of knowledge of the Russian security and diplomatic system, reinforces the presumption that Turkish attempted coup was a sudden, civil one independent from the outside support.
Besides, Saudi’s fifteen-hour delay in declaring their support for Erdogan’s government and Egypt's ruling generals not taking any official position towards the developments in Turkey could indicate these governments were not so reluctant for the attempted coup to bear fruit.
But if we assume that the attempted coup was carried out with outside support and knowledge, first we must suppose that it was considered as a force major development by the outside support.
Second, taking into account that a “Islamist Turkey” and Erdogan are in fact the connection line of “Islamist tendencies” and “the passing route of Islamist organized terrorism from the middle-east to Europe. The old Europe is the main beneficiary of the fall of Islamic Oligarchy in turkey.
The disorganized and incoherent attempted coup implies the nature of it as being force major. Besides, happening just less than twenty four hours after the brutal murder in Niece, reminds us that the attempted coup was in fact old Europe’s failed attempt to cut the connection between Middle East and Europe.
The fact that France, unlike its western partners, including Germany, did not immediately condemn the attempted coup, rather asked its citizens to stay indoors (just as the coup conductors asked the Turkish citizens to do so) all reinforces this supposition.
The importance of the failure of the Turkish attempted coup for the ruling religious oligarchy in Iran was to the extent that
1. the news of the national security council’s urgent session was released (however it was quickly rejected)
2. The news of dispatching army and Sepah’s fighter jets to North West of Iran was released (though rejected, too)
4. The foreign minister of Iran’s ruling oligarchy, in the shortest time possible (in line with US, Hamas, Free Syrian Army and ….) condemned the Turkish army’s attempted coup and in less than few hours talked to his Turkish counterpart three times over the phone.
5. Saadallah Zarei (a confidant close to Iranian military) in a news statement called the possible victory of the Turkish coup as the greatest blow to the Islamic Republic of Iran since the sixties onwards.
From the point of view of the author, the least amount of benefit of Turkish failed coup (even if it was a display one) is that it was a revealing event.
The failed Turkish coup illustrated that Obama’s America, Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamist Oligarchs in Turkey, Hamas, Free Syrian Army, Ennahda in Tunisia and many other regional players that are seemingly enemy, despite the apparently contradictory slogans and ideologies are all in a united front and each is significantly benefitting from the rule of the other one.
Among the many images that were released from the Turkish attempted coup, I personally consider the picture below unbelievably clear “showing the future of Turkey”.
Turkish attempted coup, whether a display or real, “recognized” an unofficial hated and disunity in Turkish public opinion and made it socially inevitable.
The turkey we knew (before the Islamist Oligarchy taking over) is dead.
The monster (I had promised it being born as a result of American democrats turning their back to seculars in the middle east in an article titled “Mr. United Stated …..man up!) is now born.
